You just finished your training, so what’s next….?

It takes a lot of practice and dedication to finish your training, whether it took you a few months or a year, you have completed a huge step towards reaching your goals and start working.

There are several things you should look at to make sure you are all set up to start your new journey.

  1. Make sure you are up to date with all the state laws on what is required to get the appropriate licenses. Do your research and make sure you have all your certificates and requirements for licensing. Remember that every state is different and you have to keep doing research and staying up to date with new laws and requirements.
  2. Find a good location to start practicing. Whether it is your local studio where you trained or you applied for a space you have to make sure that you have a safe space with all the required items and facilities to start working.
  3. Find models. Showcasing your work will be crucial to your success, start building good habits and learn about what makes an appealing image to use on your social media. These will be your resume, and it will track your improvement over time. Your models will be your introduction to getting material for reels, photos, etc.
  4. Practice, Practice and Practice. Never stop practicing – it might take a while until you begin working on models, that doesn’t mean you can’t document your practice. Never put your tools down.
  5. Start building your marketing platform. Make sure your IG is separate from your personal account, and always post fresh material. Take pride in your work and post good quality work as you will be showing this often to future clients. The more the better!
